Life changing and life long gift - Gift a cow - one of the best ROI - I thank god I could do it

We thank god that we could give a gift of cow . With God's grace the cow and calf
is fine in their new home and is giving quality milk to the school children.Laxmi
our cow has become a livelihood for lakshmi.
In February 2010 I was in Arasaravankadu,Thiruvavur,Tamil Nadu India with my friend
Raghavan .
Raghavan is a Chartered Accountant.
He along with his wife Aruna run a free school with 156 children.
Apart from giving free education . the school gives milk with healthy cereals (KANJI)
everyday free to the children for energy to learn.
In the course of discussion he said that Shikshayatan buys milk partly from
the market and from the family who maintains shikshayatan's cow .
A family in the village maintans the cow and gives milk at a subsidised rate to
the school.
I said the idea is unique and I joined hands with him and gave a gift of Cow
to the school. Our cow "LAKSHMI" came on the 14th August 2010.
Now the ROI(Return on Investment)
A cow which gives 5/7liters of milk daily costs around Rs17000
market selling price iof milk Rs 20
Subsidised selling price to school by family is Rs12/-
The fodder comes out of the fields (grass and after harvest)
Expenses are mainly
special food if any
regular checkup with veternery doctor
The cost is approximately Rs 3000/- p.a
The cost is Rs 10 per day
SALES VALUE PER DAY IS Rs 100/-
Subsidy to the school is Rs 40/- or 12000/-
Revenue to the family is Rs 60
Cost to the family is Rs 10/-
additional income to the family is Rs 50/- or Rs 18000/-

chain is taken care of and who is dedicated in serving the village community
